Grins & Giggles It’s not you, it’s me While driving south, a couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. After finishing their meal, they left the restaurant and resumed their trip. About 40minutes into the drive, the wife realized that she had left her glasses at the restaurant. And, tomake matters worse, it took longer than expected to find a place to turn around safely. While driving back, her husband grew agitated, became a grumpy old man, fussed, complained and scolded her relentlessly. When they finally arrived at the restaurant, she got out of the car and her husband yelled, “While you’re in there, you might as well get my hat and the credit card!” And on the 8th day… It’s the eighth day of self-isolation and it’s like Vegas inmy house. We’re losing money by the minute, cocktails are acceptable at any hour and nobody knows what time it is. COVID-19Groaners Airlines want my sympathy and support now? Where were they when my suitcase weighed 51.5 pounds? What did the man say to the bartender? I’ll have a corona, hold the virus. What do you call panic-buying of sausage and cheese in Germany? The wurst-kase scenario. The grocery stores in France look like tornadoes hit them. All that’s left is de brie. Finland just closed its borders. You know what that means. No one will be crossing the Finnish line. CSANews | WINTER 2020 | 57
